James H. Mokhtarzadeh joined Murphy, Campbell, Alliston & Quinn as an associate attorney in 2019.  His practice focuses on general civil litigation with an emphasis on business and real estate litigation.

Prior to joining Murphy, Campbell, Alliston & Quin, Mr. Mokhtarzadeh began his practice in the Sacramento Office of a mid-size, West Coast based firm.  While there, Mr. Mokhtarzadeh advised national banks and mortgage servicers in all aspects of litigation over lending disputes and property acquisitions.

Mr. Mokhtarzadeh is a graduate of the George Washington University Law School in Washington, D.C. Upon graduation, Mr. Mokhtarzadeh was awarded the Presidential Volunteer Service Award for his commitment to pro bono legal services. He was also a member of George Washington University Law School’s Journal of Energy and Environmental Law.

While in law school, Mr. Mokhtarzadeh clerked for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Office of Enforcement and Compliance Assurance, the Office of Chief Counsel for the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration, and the United States Department of Energy’s Office of General Counsel.  While clerking for these agencies, Mr. Mokhtarzadeh worked on a diverse array of issues ranging from Tribal Treaty Rights, enforcement of pipeline safety standards, and litigation over remediation of federally owned contaminated properties.

Mr. Mokhtarzadeh received his undergraduate degree in American History from the University of California Irvine.  While a student at UCI, Mr. Mokhtarzadeh played for and was Vice President of the Division 1 Men’s Collegiate Rugby Team.
